Mountain of Tumbleweed Burned to Reduce Fire Risk
The town of Eagle Mountain, Utah, burned a mountain of tumbleweed on March 18, as part of a fire hazard reduction exercise.
The planned burn follows a storm earlier in the month where thousands of tumbleweeds were swept into the city.
“The controlled burn serves as a strategic measure to manage the accumulated tumbleweeds and mitigate potential fire hazards in the area,” the city stated on their website.
