1 person killed in Mount Holly crash: Police

MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person was killed early Friday morning in a vehicle crash in Mount Holly, authorities said.

Officers said the person died in a wreck at the intersection of Noles Drive and Valley Street at some point in the morning. A Queen City News photographer went to the scene and reported what looked like to be remnants of a single-car crash.

Caution tape could be seen and a tree in the front yard sustained damage.

Police did not release any other information about the victim or any other involved cars.

Neighbors said the wreck happened around 1:15 a.m. and was loud enough to wake people. They also said police arrived within minutes of the crash before they could make any 9-1-1 call.
