Motorcyclist struck, killed after pulling over for emergency vehicle in Pasco County: FHP

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A motorcyclist died after a car struck him as he was yielding to an emergency service vehicle on Tuesday night in Odessa, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Around 8:54 p.m., a 78-year-old New Port Richey man driving a Hyundai G80 was traveling westbound on SR-54 behind a 54-year-old New Port Richey man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Car gets lodged into fence near Busch Gardens

Officials said at the intersection of Fencepost Drive, the motorcyclist pulled over for an oncoming fire truck responding to a call for service.

However, the driver in the Hyundai didn’t stop and struck the motorcyclist who died at the scene of the crash.
