Motorcyclist sent to hospital after driver fails to yield near ASU

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A crash between a car and a motorcycle near Angelo State University sent one to the hospital Friday afternoon after a driver failed to yield to the right of way.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, the wreck happened at the intersection of Vanderventer Avenue and Sout Pierce Street after the driver of a white Honda Accord failed to yield to a motorcycle traveling westbound on Vanderventer.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Officers on the scene shared that the driver of the Honda received a citation for failing to yield to the right of way at a stop sign.
