Motorcyclist injured in southwest Bakersfield collision

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A motorcyclist is recovering at a hospital Wednesday evening after a collision in southwest Bakersfield.

The crash happened at the intersection of Ashe Road and Taft Highway at around 4:25 p.m. A motorcyclist and another vehicle collided.

Police said the motorcycle rider was making a left turn at the intersection and collided with the other vehicle. The motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries. Speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash, but is under investigation.
