Motorcyclist hospitalized after Emporia crash

EMPORIA (KSNT) – On Friday, a motorcyclist was injured after crashing into a vehicle being towed in Emporia.

At 12:11 p.m., the Emporia Police Department (EPD) were called to South Avenue and State Street for reports of a crash. According to police, a 2002 Chevy Avalanche towing a 1977 Chevy Camaro was stopped at the intersection. The driver pulled into the intersection and didn’t see the motorcyclist who hit the 1977 Chevy Camaro.

The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to EPD. The driver of the Chevy Avalanche was cited for failure to yield, according to police.
