Motorcyclist dies in crash into power pole west of Modesto, CHP reports
A 46-year-old Modesto man was killed late Saturday when he crashed his motorcycle into a power pole west of Modesto, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash happened about 11:50 p.m. on Woodland Avenue east of Clark Road.
The preliminary investigation found the rider of a 2016 Harley-Davidson was eastbound on Woodland when he veered to the left, entering the westbound lane. He continued onto the road’s shoulder and struck a Modesto Irrigation District power pole.
The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity was withheld pending notification of family.
It has note been determined whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
