Motorcyclist dead after North Las Vegas crash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcyclist was killed after a crash in North Las Vegas, police said.

According to North Las Vegas police, the collision occurred around 5 a.m. on Tuesday at Pecos Road and Cheyenne Avenue, where a pickup truck and a motorcycle collided. Investigators believe the truck had been turning left onto Cheyenne Avenue and collided with the motorcycle traveling on Pecos Road.

The motorcyclist, identified only as a 52-year-old man, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

Police do not believe impairment to be a factor in the crash.
