The motorcyclist who was critically hurt in a two-vehicle crash in south Ottawa Friday afternoon has died, police say.

Paramedics said they were called to Prince of Wales and Rideau Valley drives around 5 p.m. on Friday.

A motorcycle driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition, paramedics said Friday.

Police said Monday the man, 24, died from his injuries. They said they have notified his close relatives and did not release his name.

The driver of the other vehicle, a woman in her 50s, suffered minor injuries, paramedics said Friday.

Investigators are still asking for information, including dashcam or doorbell footage of the crash. It happened about 20 kilometres south of Ottawa's core.
