Motorcyclist in critical condition after colliding with car

Jan. 5—THOMASVILLE — A 27-year-old motorcyclist was in critical condition after a collision with a car on Thursday afternoon.

Charles Seech, 27, of Lexington was traveling north on National Highway on a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle about 1 p.m. when a 2014 Cadillac driven by Cathy Pennington, 66, of Thomasville turned into his path from Pleasant Grove Church Road, the Thomasville Police Department said.

Due to the severity of his injuries, Seech was flown to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, where he was he was reported to be in critical but stable condition Friday afternoon, police said.

No information about his injuries was released.

No one else was reported injured.

Police did not indicate whether Pennington was charged. The Thomasville Police Department is continuing to investigate the wreck.
