These are the top 25 most popular companies to work for in the UK

Amazon has beat out the competition to be named the business Brits most want to work for in LinkedIn's annual Top 25 Companies ranking.

The job network has analysed the actions of user base of 610 million to establish the interest in companies, analysing including how much interest a business has, its engagement levels with staff, job seeker reach and employee retention.

Amazon, which currently employs over 560,000 staff worldwide, has climbed from 7th place to take the top spot this year. The company has invested billions in its U.K. business, with thousands working for the company, both in its London head office in Manchester and Luton.

UK staff also have access to the company’s “Career Choice” programme, which claims to pre-pay 95% of tuition for courses placed in high-demand fields. They also have a high benefits package for staff.

JPMorgan Chase & Co also proved to be a sought-after place to work and was ranked in second position. The banking firm employs over 250,000 staff around the country, and has invested over £2oomillion in staff training.

In third place was supermarket Sainsbury's, which employs nearly 200,000 people, followed by GSK and Bupa.

Last year's number one, ASOS, has slipped out of the top 25 completely.

Further down the ranking, TUI was ranked in 12th spot, with Marks & Spencer in 18th place.
