Most blogged artists: Alabama Shakes turn heads, Jessie Ware's new single

"110%" by Jessie Ware

The Alabama Shakes rocket into the top ten with "On Your Way," and Jesse Ware gathers pace with "110%," her follow-up to "Running."

Alabama Shakes are the highest new entry on April 16, having featured in April's edition of the free Music Alliance Pact compilation, released just one day prior.

It was US blog I Guess I'm Floating who made sure the Shakes' kinectic On Your Way was included in this month's MAP, having first recommended them back in November 2011: "This band serenades your ears and rips your heart out in concert. This band only cares about one genre: damn good music."

Jessie Ware hails from the UK and it's her second track "110%" that's causing a stir, this time produced by the eclectic Julio Bashmore.

In comparison to first single Running, "110% is skittish and relies more heavily on synthetic beats but at the same time keeping that hint of a modern-day Lisa Stansfield," says Listen Before You Buy.
