Morse Road apartment complex planned in Gahanna

GAHANNA, Ohio (WCMH) – A 252-unit apartment complex is planned for a 14-acre lot off Morse Road in Gahanna.

While there’s no official address yet, the “Elliott Parc” apartment complex will be located on Morse Road east of Hamilton Road, likely in the 5300 block.

The planned complex will feature 12 three-story townhomes containing three bedrooms. A rendering for the project shows 10 more three-story buildings on the property housing one and two-bedroom apartments.

The Stonehenge Company, the site’s developer, anticipates one-bedroom apartments will cost about $1,600 and the three-bedroom apartments will likely approach $3,000, according to the company’s vice president Adam Trautner.

A central clubhouse will offer multiple amenities including offices, a workout facility and gathering spaces, as well as a possible game room, golf simulator, pickleball court and volleyball court, Trautner said. A pool and cabanas are also planned for the property.

The site was originally zoned for estate residential, limiting the number of units permitted per acre. The Stonehenge Company got the project approved through the Gahanna Zoning Division and Planning Commission.

“There’ll be, I guess you would call them green areas, that are throughout the site,” Trautner said. “Some of those are like between the buildings so it will create a nice park area kind of within the buildings. So some of the people that live on those and have their patios will sit out against those.”

Trautner said the site was heavily forested and developers will be removing some trees, but maintaining as much as possible – “quite a bit more” than what’s required by code.

“We’re just looking forward to getting it started and we think that, you know, it just kind of closes off the northern quadrant of Gahanna,” Trautner said. “We’re looking forward to building a nice sustainable project.”

Trautner said he estimates the project will be completed in about two years.
