The Morning Show boss Charlotte Stoudt has a season 4 update.

Attending last week's PaleyFest Los Angeles, the showrunner and executive producer informed the audience that the next load of episodes won't be streaming on Apple TV+ until after this year's US presidential election (via ET Online) - scheduled to take place on November 5.

According to Stoudt, that's because the writers are trying to approach the fourth season in an "interesting way without being predictive".

The Democratic and Republican nominees for the 60th quadrennial election are Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, as for what else is going on with season 4 of The Morning Show, fellow exec producer Mimi Leder teased a change in tone.

"What I would say is, last season was about what is the truth, and this could be about, who do you trust?" she said at PaleyFest.

Back in November, Stoudt spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about another potential time jump occurring, following the third season's Succession-esque finale.

"I think you probably have to have some kind of time jump," she told the publication, "because it takes so long to write and shoot and post the show.

"You don't want to get too far behind in real time, in terms of the era we're playing and when people are watching it. But I think those time jumps, actually, are great. Because they allow for really surprising reveals at the top of the season.

"It's a little bit of: 'How did they get there? Wait, he's doing what? Those two are together?!' I think just on a sheer deliciousness of story, you can have a lot of fun with this big cast."

The Morning Show seasons 1-3 are streaming now on Apple TV+, with a fourth arriving next year.
