Morning Forecast - Wednesday, April 17th

A weak frontal boundary has allowed a few light showers and drizzle to pop up this morning. This will likely continue throughout the day as the boundary layer stalls. Southerly winds will keep the flow of rich moisture air into the area keeping dewpoints in the mid and upper 60’s. By Thursday, a cold front will swing south sparking up scattered t-storms across Arkansas that will dip into parts of northeast Louisiana. High winds and hail cannot be ruled out with this line Thursday evening, but those seem to be the only severe weather threats. The unsettled pattern will continue through the weekend with more chances of showers and t-storms. Temperatures will drop off once the cold front passes this weekend. Expect mid 60’s for highs and lows in the upper 40’s. Sunshine will return by next Monday with temperatures in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s.
