Morning crash on FM 2288 sends people to hospital

SAN ANGELO, Texas (KLST/KSAN) — First responders were dispatched to the intersection of FM 2288 and Appaloosa Trail after a two-car collision took place in the area during the morning hours of May 3.

According to a San Angelo Police Department officer at the scene, the incident occurred after a driver failed to yield right-of-way to a black GMC Denali traveling on FM 2288 while trying to turn left off of FM 2288 onto Appaloosa Trail.

An unknown number of those involved were transported to Shannon Medical Center as a result of the collision. The officer has reason to believe that the involved were taken with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the officer, no citation has been issued as of yet. However, the officer noted that the driver at fault will likely receive a citation for failure to yield right-of-way while making a left turn.
