More rain is coming to the Modesto area. Here’s when you can expect to see showers

Rain is expected to return to the Modesto area this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Modesto will see dry conditions until Wednesday night, when it will be hit by “waves of precipitation,” the agency said in an email update. There’s a chance of showers through Sunday.

  • Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, then sunny with a high near 60 degrees and north-northwest winds around 6 mph. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 42 degrees and north-northwest winds around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

  • Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high near 61 degrees and southeast winds of 5 to 7 mph. A 40% chance of showers at night, mainly after 11 p.m., and a low around 48 degrees.

  • Thursday: Partly sunny with a 40% chance of showers and a high near 63 degrees. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 48 degrees.

  • Friday: Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers after 11 a.m. and a high near 64 degrees. Mostly cloudy with a low around 51 degrees.

  • Saturday: Mostly cloudy with showers mainly after 5 a.m. and a high near 60 degrees. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 51 degrees and likely showers.

  • Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and a high near 62 degrees.
