“What’s really exciting, too, is Axiom is planning their own commercial space station,” said Dr. Ken Kremer with Space UpClose. “So, they’re going to launch the first module by the end of 2025.”

SpaceX could launch two additional private astronaut missions this year.

Polaris Dawn is being led by billionaire businessman Jared Isaacman. That orbital mission will demonstrate the first-ever commercial spacewalk.

The next crewed mission to the ISS is NASA and Boeing’s crew flight test for the Starliner spacecraft with NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore. They could launch as early as July 21.

NASA hopes to have both Boeing and SpaceX ferrying astronauts to the ISS as part of the agency’s Commercial Crew program. SpaceX will launch Crew-7 in mid-August.
