More than 22,000 Nut Jobs Want to Allow Guns at the Republican National Convention

What could possibly go wrong?

The stage is set for a contentious Republican National Convention in Cleveland this summer with talk of a brokered convention and threats of riots if Trump is not the nominee. Now, thousands of petitioners want to add guns to the mix. Brilliant.

An online petition signed by 22,000 people as of Saturday afternoon reads: "Though Ohio is an open carry state, which allows for the open carry of guns, the hosting venue-the Quicken Loans Arena-strictly forbids the carry of firearms on their premises."

The petition cites Cleveland's ranking as a top 10 most dangerous city and the possibility of an ISIS terrorist attack as justification for allowing convention attendees to pack their own heat.

"Without the right to protect themselves, those at the Quicken Loans Arena will be sitting ducks, utterly helpless against evil-doers, criminals or others who wish to threaten the American way of life," it argues.

But wait. How do they know ISIS isn't planning to mind-hijack GOP delegates in order to assassinate a candidate? How do you tell good guys with guns from the bad guys with guns? Something tells me the Secret Service will have something to say about this genius idea.
