More than 130 Nigerian students abducted by an armed group on March 7 arrived at a government building in Kaduna on March 25 after being rescued by Nigerian authorities, local media reported.

Footage released by a local public official, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, shows the Governor of Kaduna state, Senator Uba Sani, greeting the children inside the Kaduna State Government House.

“His Excellency assured that they will continue to undergo psychosocial counseling and proper medical supervision for the meantime,” El-Rufai said.

According to local news reports, the students were abducted from Kuriga, a town about 45 miles west of the city of Kaduna, and were rescued by the Nigerian military in the neighboring state of Zamfara.
