More than 100,000 still without power in Mass.

BOSTON (AP) — About 106,000 Massachusetts electric customers are still in the dark following Sandy.

National Grid was reporting more than 73,000 of its customers without power early Wednesday, with Grafton, Northborough and Lancaster among the hardest hit communities. The utility is saying some people might not get their power restored until Saturday.

NStar had about 31,500 customers still without power following the hybrid storm that struck late Monday. Weston, Lincoln and Dover were among the town's that had the highest proportion of customers still in the dark.

More than 1,600 Western Massachusetts Electric Co. customers had no electricity Wednesday, while Unitil was reporting just about a dozen outages.

Millions remain without power along the East Coast.
