FOWLERVILLE — Saturday's weather, which included rain and over 30 mile-per-hour winds, didn't keep more than 1,000 people from visiting the Fowlerville Fairgrounds for Fall Fest.

The wind snapped tent poles and blew over displays, but even though vendors packed up early, event organizers Erin Voyles and Amanda Konopaska said the event went pretty well and people seemed happy.

The Fowlerville Fall Festival was hosted by The Livingston Centre Historical Society, in hopes of raising money to restore and preserve buildings on the fairgrounds.

Attendees enjoyed free activities like pumpkin painting, face painting, train and hay rides, and even cider and donuts — as well as food trucks, vendors, various entertainment and tug of war.

"They ended up having three total tug of war events," Voyles told The Daily.

Food was provided by Torch 180, 2Fog's Pub, Andy’s Place Gourmet Burgers and LKB Concessions.

"Everybody really enjoyed the food options. The food trucks had lines all day," Voyles said.

Organizers said they're considering an indoor vendor space in the future and potentially moving up the date to September.
