Moore teen dies in Garvin County car crash

WYNNEWOOD, Okla. (KFOR) – A Moore teen passed away in a car accident in Garvin County on Monday.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:17 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-35 near Wynnewood.

The driver of the first vehicle, an 18-year-old man, received a head injury in the crash. He was treated and released from the hospital. There was one passenger, a 17-year-old girl, who was pronounced dead on scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, a freightliner semi, was uninjured.

OHP says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
