Which month are Louisiana babies most likely to be conceived?
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Louisiana babies are most likely to be conceived in November, according to a new study.
The study by AgeCalculator.com analyzed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data showing the number of live births in all U.S. states in each month of 2022.
Data shows 5,389 births for babies conceived in November. The higher rates during this month could be due to two holidays: Thanksgiving and Veterans Day.

“These holidays provide people with more free time to spend with their partners or to return home from their out-of-town jobs or college, potentially leading to a higher rate of conceptions,” the study said.
The study said March and October followed for most common conception months in Louisiana.
July was identified as the least common conception month in the state with 4,141 children born in April.
