Montgomery police investigate fatal ATV crash

The Montgomery Police Department is investigating a traffic collision that claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman.

On Sunday about 7:52 p.m., police and fire medics went to the area of Cotton Street and Rigby Street on a report of a two-vehicle traffic collision involving an all-terrain vehicle, said Maj. Saba Coleman, a spokeswoman for the MPD.

There, they found a 2024 Honda Rancher four-wheeler. The driver, Shanethia Rembert, 26, of Montgomery, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased, Coleman said.

The investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing, and no further information was immediately released.
