Montgomery County police: Officer hits man with cruiser

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) confirmed that a pedestrian was hit by an MCPD cruiser on Friday night.

Officers were dispatched to 355 North, near Watkins Mill, at about 11:30 p.m. where an officer had hit a man with an MCPD cruiser.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No one else was injured, a spokesperson for the department said.

The cause of the collision is being investigated.
