Montgomery County police arrest Clarksburg man for drug, gun offenses

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police in Montgomery County said they arrested a man last week for multiple drug and gun offenses.

Officers in the area of Highland Hall Dr. conducted a traffic stop on an off-white Toyota on April 4. Police recognized the passenger, Rasheed Quiovers, 24, of Clarksburg, and confirmed he had two open warrants in Montgomery County.

He was arrested without incident.

While searching Quiovers, police found what they believed to be Molly pills, 44 M30 fentanyl pills, a live ammunition round, a digital scale and three Alprazolam pills.

Investigators found that Quiovers allegedly had a backpack with a loaded .45 caliber Glock 21 handgun with an extended 30-round magazine and a full-auto switch installed, 1,025 M30 suspected fentanyl pills, marijuana, packaging materials, a digital CDS scale and a large amount of cash.

He was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and charged with multiple drug and firearm charges. He’s being held without bond.
