Montana unemployed falls slightly to 5.4 percent in May
HELENA, Mont. (AP) -- Montana's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell by a tenth of a percentage point to 5.4 percent in May, continuing a long-term downward trend that started in mid-2010.
The national rate increased by 0.1 percentage point to 7.6 percent.
Labor Commissioner Pam Bucy says Montana added more than 2,500 jobs in the past two months.
