A Monroe County Jail deputy was suspended Friday after he was arrested on a sexual abuse charge, according to the department.
The Webster Police Department arrested Jacob Hoyt, 31, on Friday after investigating a complaint that alleged Hoyt "engaged in non-consensual sexual contact" with the complainant May 1 while inside a private residence. Webster Police charged Hoyt with first-degree sexual abuse.
He was arraigned in Webster Town Court, posted $5,000 bail and was released Friday, according to Webster Police.
