'Monday Night RAW' brings back some familiar faces for 25th anniversary

On Monday night, the WWE celebrated the 25th anniversary of Monday Night RAW. RAW debuted on Jan. 11, 1993, and to mark this milestone, the WWE brought back some of its biggest stars from yesteryear.

Stone Cold Steve Austin was the first superstar to show up, just as Vince and Shane McMahon were addressing the crowd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. It wasn’t long before Austin hit Shane with a Stone Cold Stunner, but then he pretended to play nice with Vince. But, of course, that didn’t last long. After hugging it out, Austin hit Vince with a Stunner, then proceeded to do his real signature move: climbing on the ropes and spilling beer all over himself and the mat.

Stone Cold wasn’t the only former superstar to make an appearance. The Undertaker, the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, Chris Jericho, and of course Mean Gene Okerlund and many others also showed up.

Monday’s RAW broadcast was also shown from The Manhattan Center, the venue for the first show, and the tag-team duo of Triple H and the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels really brought the house down. They and their New Age Outlaws buddies actually got involved in the action against tag team partners The Revival. And each of them got a shot in for old time’s sake.

RAW airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on USA.
