This Mom's Dollar Store Fall Decorating Hack Will Save You a Ton of Money

From Woman's Day

Holiday decorations can get quickly get ridiculously expensive (which is why we love a good dollar store decorating hack!) and this clever craft is especially noteworthy.

Crafter and blogger Collin Morgan used gold spray paint to transform these plastic pumpkins and pumpkin candy pails into beautiful centerpieces, she explained on her blog Hip2Save.com. The buckets only cost 69 cents a piece-and look pretty remarkable after doing so little.

With some thoughtful styling and some faux plants to fill the buckets, the whole look comes together and creates a beautiful and inexpensive focal point for a dining table. The gold shine not only dresses up the pumpkins, but also makes them look less Halloween-specific and more appropriate for the entire season.

Imagine how beautiful these would look if you filled them with mums or succulents, and they'd also look great on a mantel or around a fireplace. The possibilities, as they say, are endless.
