Game of Thrones has not been kind to the Starks. The first to go was Ned, who was beheaded for treason (but really for exposing the Lannisters for who they are). Then it was Robb and Catelyn at the Red Wedding. And lastly, poor Rickon. Ya shoulda zig-zagged! While we’re familiar with these deaths now, according to redditor NANAS_Mic, Robert actually predicted every single death back in Season 1.

Referring to this as “Robert’s Curse,” NANAS_Mic points out that King Robert touched all the Starks who ended up eventually dying in the very first episode.

He touched Ned.

And he hugged Catelyn.

And then he lightly jostled Rickon’s head.

And lastly, he shook Robb’s hand.

Who did he not lay a hand on? Arya, Sansa, Bran, OR Jon Snow (half-Stark, but still). Does this mean these Stark children will definitely survive?

We hope so.
