Mom's chilling Facebook post proves why car seats are so important

A Pennsylvania mom posted a chilling photo on Facebook to remind all parents how important it is to properly buckle up their children every single time they go for a ride.

Jenna Casado Rabberman says she was driving her two sons, 3-year-old Beckett and 6-week-old Brooks, home from preschool on Monday when she stopped to pick up milk at a store close to her house.

The family was just minutes away from home when another vehicle sped through a red light and slammed right into their car, totaling it in the process.

Rabberman took to Facebook the next day to share a shocking photo of the aftermath, which showed two perfectly preserved car seats situated right in front of the mangled hunk of metal that her own car was reduced to.

"I'm not one to post anything too heavy or personal on Facebook but guys... THIS is why you buckle your kids into their car seats correctly every SINGLE time," she wrote. "Even when they scream because the straps are tight. Even when they complain about the chest clip or being rear facing."

"My boys escaped without a scratch but the paramedics told me it could have been very different had I not taken the extra 2 minutes to be sure they were buckled correctly," she continued. "I will be fine, my kids are fine, everything else can be replaced. Sending thanks to God for keeping us safe (along with Honda, Graco & Chicco)."

After Rabberman's post, which has been shared over 270,000 times and has racked up over 145,000 reactions, went viral, she again took to Facebook to express her gratitude towards the online community for helping her share her important message.

"I never expected this post to be seen by so many people!" she wrote. "I really only posted it for family & friends but hopefully it will save a life by making someone think twice about buckling their child in."
