Mom Allegedly Killed in Front of Family by Her Children's Dad: 'He Looked Me Dead in My Face and Unloaded'

Police in Marietta, Georgia, have arrested a 40-year-old father of five, accusing him of fatally shooting the mother of his children in front of her relatives, PEOPLE confirms.

A statement from the Marietta Police Department confirms Justin Cox was arrested Monday night in Atlanta on charges of homicide murder, possession of a firearm during a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Authorities launched a brief manhunt for Cox Sunday afternoon, claiming he fled moments after allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend, Felicia Miller, 34, multiple times as she sat in her parked car.

Police say the killing stemmed from a “domestic dispute.”

Officers were called to the scene shortly after 4 p.m. on Saturday, according to the police statement. They arrived to find Miller “sitting in a parked 2007 Dodge Charger in the driveway” of a Marietta home.
