Mobile Police say woman died from carbon monoxide poisoning Sunday morning

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police are investigating after a woman was found dead at an apartment complex early Sunday morning. Police say it appears she died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Police say they responded to a call at Oak Knoll Apartments on Navco Road at 1:30 Sunday morning. They found a woman dead in one of the units. A spokesperson says they believe carbon monoxide is the cause of death based on their initial investigation.

The spokesperson didn’t say how the poisonous gas built up enough to kill a person in the apartment unit. Mobile Police investigators were there for hours after the discovery Sunday morning. This is a developing story and we’ll update this article when we get more information.
