Mobile man turns himself in after shooting driver in car: MPD

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A local man has been arrested after allegedly shooting a man on Gorgas Street, according to the Mobile Police Department.

An MPD news release said 56-year-old Terry Bernard Rawls turned himself in Tuesday at Mobile Metro Jail for the May 4 shooting.

Officers were called to the 1600 block of Hurtel Street around 9:20 p.m. for a report of a shooting, according to the release.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound and took him to the hospital, according to the release.

Officers found that the victim was shot while driving away on the 1100 block of Gorgas Street.
