Mobile man arrested, stolen vehicle found: Police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A local man is behind bars after being found in a reported stolen vehicle with drugs, according to the Mobile Police Department.

An MPD news release said officers were called to the 7100 block of San Marino Drive for a report of a disorderly complaint just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

When they arrived, officers approached a man; however, the man got into a car and drove into a nearby driveway, according to the release.

Officers allegedly saw the man, later identified as 36-year-old Paul Edward Hollingsworth, get out of the vehicle and toss a bag.

When officers looked deeper, they reportedly found that the bag contained drugs. They also found that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Ocean Springs, Miss., according to the release.

Hollingsworth was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
