Mobile County to host workshop, sneak peek for master plan of Civil RIghts, Cultural Heritage District

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile County is developing a master plan that will be a guide for helping to honor, protect, and renew the area of Mobile’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue corridor with the goal of attracting tourism dollars and additional investments.

The next step in developing that plan is scheduled: the Charette & Concept Planning meeting.

According to Mobile County’s website, the meeting is scheduled in two parts — the workshop and the sneak peek.

Workshop: “Hear a status report including the planning team’s research findings and collaborate with other area residents to contribute your ideas to the master plan.”

Sneak Peek: “Get a sneak peek at the planning team’s concept plan and learn preliminary recommendations to be included in the master plan.”
