The 4.8-magnitude earthquake that hit the greater New York area on Friday morning shook some television studios live on air — even a not-so-serious baseball one.

“Are we having an earthquake? Seriously. Are we having an earthquake?” co-host Matt Yallof said on MLB Network’s “MLB Central” baseball show as the earthquake shook the set in Secaucus, New Jersey, while they were on air.

“I think we're having an earthquake. Hey, we're finally going to end up on Awful Announcing! We’re having an earthquake. What’s going on here?"

“Is everyone OK?” co-host Lauren Shehadi asked.

“Control room is shaking, we’re shaking,” Yallof said. “This is not a bit.”

“Let’s go to a break, because I’m leaving,” Yallof joked.

The earthquake hit the northeastern United States at 10:23 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey. New York City, Boston, and Philadelphia were among the cities that felt the quake and saw buildings and homes shake. The earthquake’s epicenter was in Lebanon, New Jersey, about 50 miles west of New York City.
