Mission at Kern County seeks donations for its residents

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Mission at Kern County put out a call for donations to help its residents.

The mission released a list of its current needs, which includes men’s shorts underwear, and shoes. The shelter is also in dire need of towels, shaving and hygiene products and sheets in size Twin XL.

The mission serves hundreds of individuals on a daily basis and relies on community donations to help those most in need.

If you can help, donations can be dropped off at 816 East 21st St.

Engineering and product design were among the departments impacted by the cuts, according to posts on LinkedIn from impacted employees. TechCrunch was unable to independently verify the exact number of people who were cut, but an industry source who knew impacted people believes it was approximately half of Jasper Health's small team.
