Missing Endangered Update: 82-year-old man from Union County found safe

UNION COUNTY, NC (QUEEN CITY N EWS) — The 82-year-old man from Union County who was reported missing was found safe Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office

Officials say William Sossamon was last seen at Faith Baptist Church, located at 4220 Faith Church Road, Indian Trail. This is on the outskirts of Hemby Bridge and Indian Trail, close to the US-74 bypass.

Sossamon is described as a white man standing 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has short gray hear and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. Mr. Sossamon may be driving a silver or gray Chevrolet Silverado truck with an NC license plate number EHC6255.
