A missing 19-year-old student is feared to have become a victim of sex trafficking.

Corinna Slusser, from Pennsylvania, was last seen at the Maven Hotel on Woodhaven Boulevard in the Rego Park area of Queens on 20 September.

Police told the New York Post she may be trapped in a prostitution ring.

Ms Slusser had filed an assault complaint against a man before she vanished.

A 32-year-old, who had multiple arrests for promoting prostitution, stole $300 from her while she was in the shower, the New York Daily News reported.

The NYPD is now searching for the teenager, who had been studying marketing at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, according to her Facebook page.

But police warned her family about putting too much information on Facebook.

“Make no mistake, one move and she will be disposed of in one of two ways,” police told her relatives, according to the Daily News. “Either she’ll be killed or moved.”

Ms Slusser is described as having blonde hair, blue eyes and being around 5ft 6in in height.
