Missing 12-year-old girl last seen in Oakland

(KRON) — A missing girl is reported out of Oakland, the Oakland Police Department announced Tuesday. Sanyah Evans, 12, was last seen on Monday, April 15 around 9:15 p.m. on the 4500 block of Thompson Street.

Sanyah is described as a Black girl who is 5-foot-2 and weighs 170 pounds, according to OPD. She was last seen wearing an orange hoodie, orange sweatpants and a black bonnet.

Sanyah is considered at-risk due to her age, OPD said. Her family reports that she is in “good mental and physical health.”

OPD first tweeted about Sanyah’s disppearance at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday. Anyone with information about Sanyah’s whereabouts is asked to call OPD’s Missing Persons Unit at 510-238-3641.
