Miranda Lambert’s low-key New Year’s Eve actually looks pretty perfect

She’s had a busy (and sometimes stressful) 2016, but she’s only looking forward. Singer Miranda Lambert celebrated New Year’s Eve and the end of the year in a low-key way that we totally admire — with her dogs.

In fact, from the looks of it, Lambert enjoyed some quiet time by herself as 2016 drew to a close. And, that time is definitely well deserved — especially since this January, she’ll be out on the road playing dates both locally and internationally.

Her upcoming tour is scheduled to wrap up at the end of August, so it goes without saying that she’s going to be working pretty hard throughout 2017.

Here’s how Lambert spent Friday night, the day before New Year’s Eve:

Lambert also used the hashtag of #newyearnewme, which makes it seem like she probably spent the rest of New Year’s in a similar way — with one more addition.

Looking cute with her boyfriend, musician Anderson East, Lambert looks like she celebrated a fresh start with incredible support. It’s unclear as to whether or not Lambert caught any of East’s show in Birmingham, Alabama, or if she joined up with him afterward. But, judging his Instagram alone, it’s obvious that East thinks the world of Lambert, which is super adorable.

We all need to take a cue from Miranda Lambert and have a day where we just relax, refocus, and think about how we’re totally going to dominate this upcoming year.
