A Minute with Drexel: the hope of Easter

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Hey y’all and Happy Easter! Today is the day that Christians gather to celebrate the event that changed the world forever. The day that a group of grieving women gathered at a tomb only to be told, “He is not here. He is risen.”

I have had the opportunity in the past few weeks to meet people who are grieving or who are sad or troubled, as they face big battles in their lives, I think we can look to the resurrection story for hope in that.

I have visited the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem. When I go on my pilgrimage tours with other people, we usually end our pilgrimage here. We gather for communion, we pray, and we leave with something in us changed. What changes is that we leave with a sense of hope. And joy and purpose.

I don’t know where you are right now, You may be in a beautiful Easter season. Maybe you are in a cold, dark, and lonely place. If that’s the case. I want to encourage you today and remind you that when God is the author of your story, a lot can change for the better in just a few days. Happy Easter! And that’s your minute with Drexel.
