Minneapolis police investigating domestic-related death on city's South Side

Minneapolis police are investigating the death of a person who was apparently stabbed during an apparent domestic dispute Thursday afternoon on Minneapolis' South Side, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear whether anyone was in custody in connection with the incident.

MPD spokesman John Elder said that detectives were still gathering evidence about the circumstances surrounding the killing, which occurred in the 2700 block of S. Aldrich Avenue. He said that the initial 911 call suggested that the person, whose identity hasn't yet been released, died of a stab wound.

No further details were immediately available.
