"We’re very excited to add Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast to our incredible slate of attractions at Universal Orlando next summer,” Thierry Coup, Senior Vice President of Universal Creative, told USA TODAY. “This will truly be a one-of-a-kind, interactive blaster game experience that will immerse guests in the world of Illumination’s Minions franchise as they compete to see if they have what it takes to be the next supervillain. It’s going to be loads of diabolical fun!"

To play, guests will be attending Villain-Con, "the biggest criminal convention on the planet" and compete to become the newest member of The Vicious 6 from "Minions: The Rise of Gru." Riding on a moving pathway, guests will get an interactive blaster and embark on their adventure through immersive environments, interacting with villains and minions along the way. To show their nefariousness, players will have to blast at items to gain points.

From kids to adults, guests of all ages are welcome to enjoy the Minion-inspired experience.

Along with the new attraction, Minion Land will also welcome a new Minion Café and "other surprises featuring popular characters from Illumination's blockbuster franchise."
