Milwaukie Police arrest 12 in online prostitution sting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Milwaukie Police Department arrested 12 people during an online prostitution sting on Feb. 28, which targeted prostitutes, people purchasing sex and sex traffickers.

Authorities involved in the interagency sting made the arrests at two separate locations within the city of Milwaukee. The suspects were lured to the location by decoy officers posing as people agreeing to exchange money for sex through various online dating sites and applications.

“Investigators are concerned the [aforementioned] sex traffickers have additional victims.” Milwaukie PD stated.
