Milo Yiannopoulos Prays During Heated Protests at UC Berkeley Event

Protesters gathered at UC Berkeley’s Sproul Plaza in Berkeley, California, ahead of a free speech forum planned by Milo Yiannopoulos on Sunday, September 24. Yiannopoulos could be seen praying amid the protesters.

Yiannopoulos was scheduled to hold an event Saturday, and when it was cancelled, it was announced speakers would be hosting their own unofficial event, sponsored by the Berkeley Patriot, a conservative student group.

“We are dissapointed [sic] that the University administration forced a cancellation of Free Speech Week through bureaucratic measures and threats — We will continue to fight for what we believe in. We will not give up. If you would like to hear Milo and take a stand for Free Speech, now is the time,” the Berkeley Patriot wrote in a Facebook post.
