Millington Police investigates possible child abuse

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Millington Police Department is investigating the possible abuse of a high school student.

According to Millington Police, a student arrived at Millington Central High School with “injuries consistent with abuse” Thursday.

Millington Police say the alleged abuse happened at the student’s home.

The student reportedly went to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for a medical evaluation. Millington Police say detectives are working to identify the suspects and determine possible criminal charges.

The Millington Municipal School District confirmed the report and said that the incident “was properly investigated.”

The school district says it cannot comment any further because this is an open investigation.
